And so it begins…
It’s finally summer break! One whole month of no class. Better than nothing, I suppose. Of course, the first thing I did when I got home was start up the episode of That 70s Show right where I left off before my final. This happens to be “Hot Dog”, season 5 episode 7.
Eric walks into a jewelry store, unaware that he is about to buy Donna’s engagement ring. The obviously gay and somewhat creepy salesman tries to talk him into a variety of items by putting them on and modeling them.
Salesman: -putting on a ring- Look how that shines. Oh, that’s nice. Hmm?
Eric: Well, your finger hair curling over the ring is kind of ruining it for me. Does wearing the merchandise usually work for you?
Salesman: I don’t know, I’m new here. I used to work at the lingerie store… they fired me.
Of course, the salesman then shows Eric a diamond ring and succeeds in talking him into buying it, which starts a whole new plot line for the season (which is good, because the Jackie/Hyde relationship novelty is wearing off by this point). It’s one of my favorite episodes in my absolute favorite season, and a great way to kick off my summer.
Yes, I know I’m a nerd.
